Our Story
The Kwinana district became an important part of the Western Australian economy. Large-scale industrial infrastructure brought a large-scale workforce, and with it some stand-out characters who would go on to define the industry in WA.
One of those characters was Lionel Hollands, and the beginnings of L. Hollands & Sons: a trucking business that grew with the times and, in 1975, changed direction to cater for sand supplies as well.
A fast-growing population with a passion for lawn bowls proved the perfect start for Red Sand Supplies. Lionel and the team built bowling greens across Perth, including Mosman Park Bowling Club, whose greens Red Sand Supplies prepared when the club hosted the Commonwealth Games.
Today, the third generation of the Hollands family runs the business from our Hope Valley facility, recycling construction and demolition materials back into the quality products on this site, and hauling them across Perth with our own fleet.
Milestones
