Chunky 30-60mm oversize laterite for drainage lines and rustic cover.
The oversize screened off the crushing run, roughly 30-60mm chunks of red-brown laterite. Too big to bind, which is the point: it stays open and free draining in swales and drainage lines.
Also makes a good rustic cover in native gardens.

Sold by the cubic metre or tonne, delivered and tipped by our own fleet, or picked up from Hope Valley, where there's no minimum. Supplied to order from the Toodyay area, so let us know your tonnage and we'll confirm delivery timing. Ask about pickup times if you'd rather collect it yourself from the yard.
Not sure how much you need? The volume calculator works out cubic metres and tonnes from your measurements and drops the result straight into a quote request. At 100mm deep, one tonne of crushed gravel oversize (30-60mm) covers about 6.7 square metres.

It weighs around 1.5 tonnes per cubic metre. A swale 0.5 metres wide, 0.3 metres deep and 15 metres long needs about 2.25 cubic metres, roughly 3.4 tonnes. Use our calculator for your own line. That's under our 12 tonne minimum for a delivered load, so take a full load if you can use the extra, or collect it yourself from Hope Valley, where no minimum applies.
Yes, 12 tonnes on a delivered load. That covers all our gravels, quartz and basalt. We can go under that if you really need to, but the transport cost per tonne is a lot higher so we don't recommend it for a small job. There's no minimum if you collect it yourself from Hope Valley.
No, it's too coarse to bind and stays open and free draining, so it's not suited to compacted driveways or foot traffic areas.
Drainage lines, swales, soakwell surrounds, erosion control on batters and rustic ground cover in native gardens.
Its size holds its ground on batters and stays open for drainage, where a finer grade would compact or wash away.
Laterite road gravel, also spelt ferricrete. Nominal 12mm, binds down hard for drives and tracks.
