Ferrocrete, also spelt ferricrete, is laterite road gravel: iron rich gravel carrying its own natural fines. We run it at a nominal 12mm, and it can be supplied anywhere from 7mm up to 18mm depending on what the job wants. Wet it down and roll it and those fines bind the stone into a firm, low dust running surface that sheds water, which is why it has been the country driveway and farm track material in WA for generations.
